@atpfm following the trend of the iPad Pro having the M1, M2, and now M4… the next iPad Pro will have the M8, right?
@atpfm formal request for at least brief coverage of Rivian’s recent announcements. Personally, I’m really looking forward to the R3 as the R1S and R2 are Too Damn Big™️. It’s still not a sedan but it’s a start! If rivian would just add CarPlay support, it’d be amazing.
@atpfm I know this probably won’t happen because it’d be more work for dear Marco but I wish the version of the member special that went to the bootleg feed would let Casey swear
I love spending an hour trying to find the new NAS I built on the network just to realize I was on the wrong subnet 🤦‍♂️
@atpfm thought you guys might enjoy seeing this graph. I thought of it when Marco was talking about how cheap SSD’s have gotten. If this trend continues, I’m hoping to go all SSD on my NAS in a few years.
@atpfm once the next AirPods get updated, and maybe the AirPods Max lol, these will be the last lightning devices to die I believe. Wild that they updated the Apple TV remote but not these.
@atpfm I just checked and the m3 iMac is shipping with a usb-c to lightning cable so it’s safe to assume the keyboard and mouse still charge with lightning 🙄
@atpfm maybe it’s the H1 or it’s not chip dependent and just software. Either way, handoff is cool
@atpfm I really hope the rumors of more gaming coming to the Apple ecosystem are true and I’m not even a primarily Mac user anymore. I’ve been in awe of the M chips and their performance but cant swallow the price since it doesn’t have compatibility with the games I play. There’s 2 hardware things I’d love to see that would make Apple competitive in the gaming space if they can get the software compatibility on lock (and that’s a big if) 1. I’d love an m3 or m3 pro powered Apple TV that can natively run games at great quality. 2. I’d love to either see Apple make a controller or partner with controller manufacturers to integrate the handoff ability that AirPods have between devices. I think that’s done with the U1 chip but I could be wrong. It’d be incredible to seamlessly, using the same controller, play a game on your iPhone or iPad then sit down at the tv or Mac and pick up right where you left off without pairing the controller again. Also, iCloud game saves.
The follow up on @atpfm has me wondering what management solution Apple uses in their corporate environments. Do they exclusively use Apple Business Manager or do they use AD? I can’t imagine they use AD given how poor the implementation is.
