Turns out I’m not really using Mastodon.
Opening images with the native iOS UI is also something that I definitely prefer and almost no other app does.
I think I’ve finally settled on @
[email protected] for Mastodon. It’s got everything I need and it feels snappy and reliable. It’s also continuously updated. Awesome work!

Like: release notes that outline additions or fixes made to a product.
Dislike: release notes that repeat the same information from previous updates, and use the notes as a platform for advertising services.
