@gamingonlinux I'm just gonna say, clicking into the Adventure Game Point & Click category that I was not prepared for this one.

(nothing nsfw, but uhhhhhh)

@grumpygamer So far as twitter goes, my thought is it won't last much beyond when it defaults. They have a $1B annual debt they're surely not covering. In the meantime I have BlueBlocker installed which helps deny the blue checkmark accounts the algorithm boost they paid for, and the subsequent large blocklist makes twitter run worse. It's inevitably dying, may as well cost Elon more cash as it sinks.

@arstechnica All that is required for Twitter to be under the DMCA safe harbor protections is to have an agent registered with the Copyright office and comply with legitimate requests for each infringing material (and go through the appeals process if the user chooses to do so).

If the labels didn't specifically engage in DMCA reports, then they can't exactly whine to the court about unreported infringements. (I mean they can, but their case will get tossed.)

@arstechnica Here's the thing for me. Musk complaining about the DMCA isn't evidence of wrongdoing. Wrongdoing in Twitter's case would be the labels issuing DMCA takedowns and Twitter not complying with those requests. But I looked in the original complaint, there's no mention of DMCA takedown requests taking place, only general "we notified Twitter of infringing material." What does that mean? Did they go through the proper channels to have infringements taken down or not?
