Besides the writing being amazing, there are so many little details in DS9 that are well executed. Whoever did the art direction on the Ferengi tower of commerce really nailed it, and I don't think there's been a version of star trek that did the clothes, sets, etc so well.

I watched Superman 3 last weekend and it was an absolute trip. No one ever told me it was a surrealist masterpiece. Richard Pryor doing what seems to be a parody of himself, Superman gets drunk and has a fight with Clark Kent, much like a Simpsons episode it goes through a half a dozen side plots that have no direct connection to how it ends, and then it ends with 5 different twists about who the real villain is.
