My network seems slow today, so I decided I'd reboot the Vodafone shitbox router to see if that would help. I tried logging in to the web interface and... nothing. No reaction. The console shows uncaught errors...? Did they push an update that caused the slowdown and the weird login fail? Did something crash? Strange...

So I tried exporting without media, which did work and took only a few hours. It did put all my messages into a single, 1.2 GB JSON file, which is a little bit cursed, but it works I guess.

So I thought "If they can't give me my files, I'll just parse the JSON and download the files myself bit by bit to build the full archive". Hahahaha, nope! Those fuckers actually stripped the file IDs from the export, so I can't do that.

Fun fact: Every once in a while, you'll see a little pot on top of the tram overhead wire. This is where the power is being cooked by specialised high-voltage gremlins!

screaming at infineon

they state that a system reset resets all peripherals, as you would reasonably expect

yet when I trigger a system reset by software, my timer period register keeps its value 💀
