A social network that only features a single button, and increases the user's score every time it is pressed.

"How did you monetize this?" a reporter asks increduously.

"Well," the CEO explains, "we simply just sold data related to who clicked the button the most."

The coolest beard-bearing UX designer, @cassidyjames, took some time to explain the approach that both @elementary OS and Pop!_OS are taking regarding security for their joint work on a new installer.

elementary OS isn't exactly know for being the most amnesiac or privacy-focused OS, but their approach for a "Secure by Default" is the right path. Security, like encryption, should be an opt-out option for people, not opt-in.

Content isn't "free" when there are ads. The longer I work in advertising, the more this idea that content w/ads is "Free" bothers me. It's not free at all. You're paying for it with your time and attention to sponsored content, and how that content then drives you to take actions. It's not "free."

lol now someone is going around the entire /r/linux thread nitpicking and correcting grammar, spelling, and usage. The Internet is a terrible, amazing place.
