I know you all must be sick of these amazing sunsets at the beach, but I’m still going to post them because they are so beautiful.

Yet more beautiful sunsets here in Massachusetts.

The sunsets in the late afternoon here at the cape are so nice.

On a walk I encountered a layer of ice in a divot on a gravel road. Stepping on the layer of ice it held my weight for a moment before there was a satisfying crunch. It was a physical and aural sensation I haven’t experienced in 25 years and didn’t know I missed.

My sister took my son and I on a walk down to the Oyster Pond. The beginning of the walk my son said it was a magical experience for a Californian to see such snow and feel the cold. By the end of the walk he said he understood the Jack London story “To Build a Fire” Quite the walk!

After a night of power outages, internet outages, and whooshing winds knocking over things in the yard I awoke to find that I was treated with a winter wonderland in the morning. It’s everything my Californian heart wanted out of this Massachusetts Christmas vacation.

The sunsets on the Cape in the winter are really wonderful.

I have covid. So time to make that KN94 mask actually fit on my face. Thanks, I hate it.
