Hi! Looking for a bit of guidance here:
I've been using AdGuard for mobile for a while now, recently installed AdGuard Home in my Windows PC to test it out. Today I found out about Cloudflare's WARP.
From my understanding, if I use WARP, my AdGuard setup will be rendered useless because it won't be able to inspect anything and the only ad-blocking remaining will be the one provided by Cloudflare.
But if I don't use WARP and stick to AdGuard, it'll be business as usual, this PC's traffic won't be encrypted but customizable ad-blocking will remain.
My current understanding tells me I can't use them simultaneously and I have to decide if I want more privacy or more ad-blocking power/customization. Is this correct?
Maybe I should only consider using WARP when I'm connecting on a public WiFi hotspot (if I ever do)?
Thanks!
Did I just finish the book? Yes.
Do I remember most of it right now? No.
At least I highlighted stuff this time. Will review tomorrow.
Fediverse, due to my wife's thyroid cancer returning we are relocating to Seattle (from Illinois) -- where we can receive familial support and she can get treatment.
To that end, I'm looking for #infosec jobs in the area, but I'm looking to step back from what I've been doing so I have a bit more flexibility to help her and our son. So, hybrid or even full remote, but probably not a senior level position.
I've been consulting and that's been good, but it's too unsteady and too much work on unknown schedules to continue while she is undergoing treatment. I'll also be applying through standard channels, but I hope someone here can lend a hand.
Cleaning up my drives, organizing stuff and deleting unused files.
2 drives done. Will now analyze C drive, move what's important and then reset the computer.
Will continue organizing drive F throughout the month.
