I love music, coffee, books and reborn dolls among other things. my favourite artists are Aretha Franklin, Tori Kelly, India.Arie and my boys forever *NSYNC. my favourite book series is Anne of Green Gables. I am very passionate about the things that bring me joy like the ones listed above.
Sometimes a good reread is just the most amazing comforting thing! Just finished one of my faves for probably the third or fourth time. The story of beautiful girl by Rachel Simon. Moves me to my core every time I read this book! So beautiful! I have half a mind to start reading it again from the beginning. Not ready to let go of these characters yet!
check out this cover of back to the middle by India.Arie that my friend Jack and I did!! Jack made this track from scratch using his keyboard, this is not a karaoke version. and vocals by me. this was soooo much fun to do!!!
Can someone please tell me how to add audio to a post? I recorded a cover with a friend recently and want to share it if anyone wants to hear it.
Crap! Reading over my mutual aid post, I realize that I wrote no less than $100. I meant no more than $100. I haven’t had coffee yet this morning. I should probably edit it. Wow. I hope people know what I actually meant! I just meant I would like $100 to get me through until Friday. I hope people don’t think I’m greedy and they understand what I actually meant.
I would love to be able to order myself something nice for Thanksgiving or at least get some groceries to last until I get paid on Friday. I would love a little bit of mutual aid, no more than $100. My PayPal is [email protected] and if you need it back, I can give it to you on Friday. I truly appreciate anyone’s kindness and I will pass it on and spread the joy when I am more financially able. I hope everyone has a lovely Thanksgiving or regular Monday! (2/2)
I have written and deleted this post at least five times this weekend. Debating whether or not I should actually do it because it makes me feel a little uncomfortable. But it’s Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, and my family is out of the country so I was not able to see them or do anything festive or enjoy a nice meal. I also don’t get paid until Friday, and most of my paycheck that I received last was spent on moving expenses. (1/2)
Has anyone used the Expedia app lately to book a hotel? They seem to have severely effed up Accessibility of choosing the dates you want to stay. How the heck do you do this now? It keeps choosing the wrong ones and doesn’t give me any feedback if I want to tap on certain days. Also, there is all of this nonsense about flexible days and stuff that keeps selecting when I don’t want it to.
did the rapture happen? was I left behind?
the Lilith Fair doc on CBC docs is so good!! I may be watching it for the 3rd time today. I wish I had gone to Lilith in 99. I am a boyband girlie but I love all those artists too and the vibes seemed so good! so powerful and such an epic part of history. I think this doc did an amazing job and I will always wish I had gone.

Edit: As of build 2.25.20.83, this issue has been solved. The Voice Message button now behaves as expected.

PSA: If you use VoiceOver to send voice messages on iOS with WhatsApp build 2.25.20.75 and tend to lock the button, you will find it difficult to send the message. The send button disappears from VoiceOver's consciousness and the only way to have it reappear is to use screen recognition.
If you simply double-tap and hold, speak and then send to release, you will be fine.
I recommend either not updating at this time if you haven't already, or if you have, double-tap and hold for the foreseeable.
Be advised that shutting down WhatsApp completely and reopening the conversation will hide the text box as well as the send button from VoiceOver until screen-recognition is used, so even this is not an easy work-around.
Feel free to pass this on as necessary.
