The Campaign against Climate Change, based in the UK, brings people together to push for the urgent and resolute action we need to prevent the catastrophic destabilisation of global climate. We see the climate crisis as inextricably linked to other social justice issues and have an active trade union group.

We should be trying to reduce the amount of CO2 in our atmosphere.
But because of fossil fuel burning it's still rising. And worse than that, it's rising faster than ever before - 2024 was not just the hottest year on record but saw the greatest increase in CO2.

Planet-warming carbon dioxide levels rose more than ever in 2024

The record rise is incompatible with keeping global warming to 1.5C according to the Met Office.

Sat 11th Jan: Join us to protest Trump and call for urgent climate action

The inauguration of Donald Trump will be a frightening moment for our chances of avoiding the worst of climate breakdown. The US withdrawing from the Paris agreement could be disastrous, with UN climate negotiations already increasingly fragile: rich countries refusing to provide desperately needed climate finance on the scale needed. Now is a time for determination and solidarity. Join us to protest against climate denial, fossil fuel corruption and the far right, and call for climate action in the UK and around the world in line with the science. Sign up for more details about this protest in advance of Trump's inauguration.

A crucial consultation on UK oil and gas fields ends in two days - now is a great time to sign and share this petition and have your say.
We need a just transition for North Sea oil and gas workers - not to prolong our dependence on fossil fuels.

Have your say in the UK’s oil & gas decision: No New Drilling

This is it: we are on the brink of stopping new oil and gas drilling for good. The government has paused approving new fields while it asks us, the public, what we think should happen.Help make sure that the government sticks to its commitments, and stands on the side of people over the interests of oil and gas bosses.

Trump says the UK should get rid of “windmills” and cut taxes on oil giants’ profits.
We say no to Trump’s dangerous climate denial!
