Only 1 possible word though. The rest would be a man.

  • La computadora
  • El ordenador
  • El centro de datos
  • El servidor
A LOT of people out there just read whatever tho google AI tells them on their search. They’ve been trained that the answer is always the 1st non-ad link on Google. And now the thing at the top of a Google search is their LLM answer.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t do what you do. You just asked why someone would be against doing an image post when it could be a text post and I answered.

What you are doing cannot be done with text posts because of reason 2 and 3.

It’s a hyperbole. It’s not unethical. But many people don’t like it/hate it.

  • An image is just more expensive than text. Text is usually ~1 byte per character. An uncompressed image is ~3bytes per pixel. Of course, most images are compressed, and compression does a lot of heavy lifting. But still. Also, you don’t need to uncompress plain text. More amount of bytes means more storage expense, more network expense, and worse user experience due to latency.
  • We have plenty of tools that work for text. You can copy-paste it. You can easily edit it with just a keyboard. It is easily configurable via fonts and font sizes.
  • Accessibility: text can be read by screen readers. Images (without alt text) cannot. Maybe there are some fancy screen readers that OCR images, but then it’s the case of point 1.
  • Text is easily indexable. Which means that it’s searchable. If the reddit search tool were any good, it could find the post. Not for images. Alternatively, 3rd party search tools such as google and DDG work.
  • There’s probably many more points.

    No.

Nobody is going to become that rich out of skill/hard work/intelligence. The level of wealth we are talking here is only obtainable via the exploitation of others.

We are not talking about a highly skilled surgeon that saves many lives earning some hundred thousands per year. There are people out there that earn millions per month.

And you’re not leaving the rich people unaffected. You are taxing them. As I said, tax the businesses with huge profits, to support entrepreneurs in case their business fail, in order to have more entrepreneurs that can actually compete with the multimillion companies that do nothing but enshittify their products and underpay their workers.

What a bad take. Notepad was never meant to have formatting, as the post states. Notepad’s purpose was to open war text files as raw text. For formatted text, there was WordPad. What made notepad great is that it was the fastest and easiest way to just know what is in the damn file.

There is absolutely no one hard working or intelligent enough to be worth 4M$/hr.

Doesn’t matter how many Harvard-level degrees you have.

The only possible argument for someone earning that much money is if “they took a huge risk by investing a lot of money in a hugely risky business opportunity”.

And in that case, such risk should not exist. If a government wants to truly encourage entrepreneurship, it should provide with the basic needs for everyone, even if they lose everything in a risky business that didn’t pay off. At the expense of course of taxing it when it does pay off.

Otherwise, only the rich can be entrepreneurs.

Why you complaining about horse armor? You can choose if you want to buy it or not!

    Don’t please.

I remember these UIs and learning after many hours that one of the elements was clickable.

This is horrible design from a usability standpoint.

Don’t be mislead by that comment. It implies that a boolean variable takes up 1 bit instead of 32. But most probably it will take 8 bits. You’re still “wasting” 7 bits instead of 31.
