@caitlin24 The software is free. Anyone could set up an instance with advertisements - the trick is attracting users to that instance.
Some people would probably sign up for a site with advertisements for (say) 100 GB of "free" cloud storage.
@JxckS I'm sorry. I think your program is pretty cool. Any other company would admire your programming abilities. The creativity. I'm starting my Master's in Comp Sci with an emphasis in Software Engineering. It would be fun to create something like this but I'm starting with the basics. Wishing you well.
