cool, first restream ruins my workflow, then twitch puts out a clause that is basically going to be used to ban queer streamers off the platform

rough week to be a streamer for me

Anyone know of a better alternative to Restream(dot)io that is literally just "grug take rtmp stream, grug send to youtube and twitch, grug save you bandwidth"? You know, something that won't aggressively override my Twitch settings?

Hell, at this rate, I'd take $15/mo at loss.

i'm hoping people agree that the absolute last thing you should be saying as a support staff in response to a customer reporting an issue that is a breaking change with the application is "yeah well when *I* use it *my* way it works fine :DDD"

or waxing poetic about the core intention of your service being a feature the customer did not want, as opposed to the very simple concept of "grug take rtmp stream. grug send stream to two rtmp endpoint. grug save you time and bandwidth."

i hate that my sense of humor is so fucking utterly ruined that you can sit me in front of a compilation of "grunkle stunkle wins the funkle bunkle" edits and i will be in tears the entire goddess damn time

Managed to do some Actual Work for two full four-hour streams this week, I'm so proud of myself =w=

hey, fun fact: when a project team is big enough to have members assigned to public relations and social media presence, it's not those members' jobs to contribute to the codebase of the fucking project. posting a goddess damn emoji on their timeline does not take dev time away from the codebase.

morons.

Today's network stress testing proved promising, there may be a stream tomorrow finally~

All right, got some shoes in my mouth (or hats?? how does that saying go again??). Technician did unfortunately find some cable damage. He ran a cable splice on the damaged coax as a bandaid fix, and we're hoping that makes things better. If it doesn't, and they don't also find any problems at the node (which they said they will try and check more thoroughly starting today), it'll be, like, a $100 operation to rewire the outlet...

Gonna take another day or two to thoroughly burn a test RTMP stream through the problem windows to see what our new stance is. Maybe it'll be better and I can come back on Thursday or Friday. Who knows.
