@turumore Need. Coffee.
@turumore Yeah, all that time crafting the precursor before you even start the real work...oh...wait... 😉

@celes Exactly as you say, traditionally it has been the mother who looks after the child, and the fact that now fathers want to be equally involved, or perhaps it makes more financial sense for them to stay at home whilst she returns to work.
Things are show to change.

Weather here is cold and damp, but that's just a good excuse for a hot drink.
I imagine it's a great deal hotter and more humid where you are.

@celes He is, yes.
Sadly paternity leave in England is poor, just two weeks.
Lots of people requesting that there be the ability to share parental leave between both parents as they wish, but no joy on that so far.
@celes Very glad it's a long weekend here, hoping to be able to curl up with a pot of coffee and a good book... assuming my three month old will let me, which is far from a sure thing 🙂
I want to start transferring my overly large DVD collection to digital versions.
Does anyone have any good suggestions for software to use?
@turumore @Euphoria Yep, the Gap series definitely has its share of those that's true.
Certainly not an upbeat set of books.
@turumore @Euphoria If you enjoy Donaldson's writing it's also worth checking out his Gap series - SF rather than fantasy, but a similar style and feeling to the Covenant books.
@Euphoria @turumore Too true, I often wish I could read the first chronicles again for the first time.
There are uplifting moments, "Mhoram's victory" being a personal favourite, although few and far between it's true.
It's the bleakness that for me is part of, for want of a better word, its charm.

Yes, but soft-boiled or hard-boiled? If you're going to report on events like this, please make sure you capture all the salient details.
