@xentropy I like the extended 16 color palette because the base 8 is pretty restrictive. If you don't like the saturation of the pico 8 set then I think any pallete that you like with fewer colors would be in the right direction. This video exemplifies my point well

For pico specific examples - picoCAD is a software that pulls off some pretty cool dithering tricks to render 3d models in the pico-8 pallete.

@xentropy I like your pixel art, but I've noticed that you tend to over work the shading on your pieces. I highly recommend working with a more restricted color palette. It makes techniques like dithering and anti-aliasing more impactful and makes you think more creativly about how you use color. lospec.com has a lot of palettes to pick from. My personal favorite is the Pico-8 secret palette. Excited to see what you post tomorrow!
