At age 13 my father gave me a Learn C++ in 24 hours book that after getting half way through, I stopped reading it. The reason was simple, writing database software is freaking boring.

At age 15 was when I installed metasploit on Windows Vista when it was using perl as the scripting back-end.

Life has a way of giving you what you want if you want it hard enough and 15 years later I'm finally getting closer to what I want in life.
