Why don't we restrict children to indoors, since the sun is such a high risk of cancer? It's really so dangerous to just let kids be exposed to UV rays like that.

Oh...

What's that?

That's a batshit completely unworkable idea and it's much more reasonable to expect parents to be individually responsible for their own family and take measures to protect their kids?

Interesting.

/s but only slightly

Just launched Better Housing Atlas.

A small editorial platform exploring housing projects from around the world.

Built with #SvelteKit, designed and developed solo, and supported by architecture studios that generously shared images for publication.

Currently six projects live, with more in the backlog.

This is such a stupid manipulation tactic, even my mom doesn’t talk to me like that. I was so pissed off that I actually deleted my account (of course the button in the email doesn’t work).
Working on a pet project feels like Hercules fighting the Hydra. You close one issue in GitHub and three new ones appear. What is this and why is software like this
You tweak it, test it, commit it, continue immediately. No giant delay between “I want this” and “I made this”. I don’t think people without ADHD fully understand how different that feels
Second week of vibe coding with LLMs and I think I finally understand why this hits my ADHD brain so hard. I’m not an engineer. I’m a project/ops person, editor, designer type. Before this, the most technical thing I could do was make a decent Squarespace site. Now I somehow have two pet projects with SvelteKit and JavaScript under the hood. I think the addictive part is the feedback loop. Idea → prompt → a few seconds later there is already something real and working in front of you >>

Sublime Text is great not because it froze in time, but because the time it froze in was the best time for software.

People were making products good for users, and corporations haven’t figured out yet how to exploit or sell users

A very useful practical experiment by Mike Ozornin: 33 #AI models, the same UI design task, 130 outputs, and a lot of thoughtful observations. Very much worth reading: https://mikeozornin.ru/blog/all/llm-and-ui-design-en/ #llm #design
Design with AI: I tested 33 models and I’m showing 130 generated images

I generated the same task with 33 different agents/models and I’m showing you 130 resulting images. The cost difference between the most expensive and the cheapest option is 410x
