I work in and tinker with tech of many types and love every second of it. Here to enjoy what I can in a world without a broken bird app or third party reddit apps.
Hopefully WVU gets their API back up soon, that’s still down, so the iOS app is crashing at launch (not that you’d be able to see anything if it didn’t), and of course the social feeds won’t have any status updates to share until then.

I’ve worked on this off and on through the day, I have the feed mostly cleaned up (few more waves of rate limits and I’ll be good), and I have several more measures in place to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Corrected the broken measure I added last time to check the API status, added several checks for missing variables in the code, and most importantly I make one final check that I’m not trying to post an empty message to social feeds. Sorry folks.

Guardrail I tried adding last time there were API issues didn’t work like I hoped, but I’ve identified a more surefire solution that I’m kicking myself for not noticing last time. Won’t happen again. #morgantown #morgantownprt #wvu

excluding 2020 (the PRT was closed), it has steadily set a new record for August downloads every year since I launched in 2018

The PRT is down at Beechurst, Engineering, and Walnut. WVU bus pickup is at gated drop off of Evansdale Crossing and at Hodges Loop. The PRT will be back in service in under 60 mins. Buses will continue to run 15 mins after the PRT is back in service. 09:50 050124 #morgantown #morgantownprt #wvu
