Pronounsthey/them

Fun fact: many of the arguments over the autism ā€œepidemicā€ are the same leveled against lefthandedness over the years. Broadly, that something is wrong with ā€œthemā€ and ā€œtheyā€ need to be socialized (i.e., stigmatized/punished) to be more like ā€œus.ā€

It turns out that 12% of us are just lefties and once we stopped fucking with them everything leveled out.

When you hit a button but get no feedback and hit it again, be sure to hit it an odd number of times.
I’m a bit concerned at simply blaming one rich man or dictator for things, even if they are awful, since their power to act is dependent on systems, people, politics etc. Yes, it is bad when person X unreasonably fires people or person F encourages hate but also why is it legal, financially advantageous, politically viable etc. and how do we influence such things.
It's never too late to transition
i think it would be a useful long term social project to make "homeless people deserve to be homeless because they made Bad Choices" as socially unacceptable and hateful and backward a view as a racist or sexist one. i think that could be a cornerstone for building broader political consciousness.

ā€œWe aren’t taught how to rest. We’re taught how to push. To hide our pain. To say ā€˜we’re fine’.

To plaster a smile on our face and pretend that we’re ok when we are actively causing ourselves harm.ā€

My latest article is on radical rest - and throwing away the ā€œcoulda woulda shouldasā€

It's Time to Throw Away the 'Coulda, Woulda, Shouldas' and Practice Radical Rest

When you're chronically ill you can't push your body the way non disabled people do. You have to learn to rest. There's few words more damaging to us than the 'coulda, woulda, shouldas'
