I make websites (with WordPress) and write about it. Sometimes that's on my blog, and sometimes on the back inside cover of a worn-down copy of The Hobbit. Very focused on Gutenberg right now.

@mrwweb Yeah the gist worked for me. It just waits until all patterns are registered and then unregisters all the Woo ones, but I'm sure it's a tiny bit less performant since you're looping through all patterns. It's a proof of content, so feel free to suggest any improvements to it!
@mrwweb There’s no filer for it, though I’ve seen it discussed. You could probably unregister them, though be careful it doesn’t affect any templates.

@mrwweb Nice! I tried to tag you on Bluesky as well but couldn't find you there (as if we all need another social network to monitor).

That and a few other links and notes in the latest edition of my newsletter:

Just because something can be made quickly or even mass-produced doesn't mean it shouldn't also be made intentionally and with quality.

We also discuss doing things "the WordPress way" and whether the same approach of the last twenty years is going to get us where we need to go (add obligatory mention of AI here).

In a new Webmasters episode, I talk to Brendan O’Connell about getting started.
