One of my quests at Recurse Center is to do a daily animation sketch
Today was a simple one: wavy text with some rotational variance & a slight orange glimmer
Today marks my first day at Recurse Center (https://recurse.com) & I'm psyched to have the chance to focus my energy on Write Games + other projects for a while

I'm planning on using this as an opportunity to start posting on here more often - I've neglected the fediverse in lieu of Bluesky. No more!
We’re gradually starting to block content scraping from AI / LLM platforms like ChatGPT.
After getting feedback from the community last year, and the increasingly chilling effect these uninvited guests have on creative expression online, I think it’s the best way forward.
The next step was to add a similar invalidation check for some of the other startup generation tasks I do, but they run incredibly fast in comparison. I don't mind if my site is down for a second on reboots, it's not at all critical to have 99.99999% uptime.
It definitely beats the half a minute downtime I had been experiencing before, though!
