@darius yeah, now it's all midterm election punditry, maybe in a few weeks when the algorithms settle down
@darius well there is actually research showing turnout = higher dem votes. So 2 but with data?
@Apoch trick question, there is no such thing as a team ahead of schedule.

But it doesn't veer into trying to sell merch like I'd imagine a Disney how would.

Plus Kay Hanley from Letters to Cleo worked on the soundtrack, so while it will get stuck in your head, it's not horrible.

Kids media takes - Doc McStuffins.

Got turned onto to this from W Kamau Bell's netflix special. Every kid should watch this. It's about a black girl who is doctor that helps broken/sick toys. Sweet, solid storytelling. I may have cried during one episode.

Probably aimed at 4-7 yr olds, my 2.5 yr old loves it tho. Made her want to pretend to be a dr, makes kids get used to the whole idea of going to the dr too.

It is a Disney show, so you gotta pay $ for a season, but absolutely worth it.

There is this weird recurring thing where the bots get laughed at for spelling (eg they ask a knight about night), not really what your kids to feel if they ask stuff like that? Hopefully they'll just do less of that in the 2nd season

In my new category of tweeting, reviews of children's media, Ask the Storybots is... Surprisingly really good? Excellently explained basic science concepts like night/day, flight, etc. Great songs, and excellent cameos.

I mean the worst part is the weird anthropomophizing these robots that have a shitty boss that yells at them... Funny but I'd rather not them get used to the idea that robots are bosses that yell at them?

There'll be an opening on the project I'm on for a programmer around Oct - it's pretty neat, remote, long term potential, get in touch if you're interested - especially welcoming to under-represented folks.
@gangles just be thankful it didn't force you to listen to Raffi at work :)
This let's play-er of Ultima 7 sounds close enough to Zach Galifnakis' twin brother character in Baskets that I'm just watching it pretending its him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2fGfRpydAA
