One of my planned "capstone projects" of my dev life (that will unfortunately be delayed until after my MSIT graduation) is an online memorial service for the Filipino people, similar to what Find A Grave used to be.
Time and again this idea has had been shot down by my friends in real life. What were/are the barriers in Filipino culture and traditions that prevent the propagation of online memorials of our deceased compatriots?
I am planning a mega project to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Marital Law. Are there any other memorialization projects planned or in progress to remember all the victims of this and other political atrocities? I will utilize existing services such as Find A Grave and We Remember for my project to prevent confusion and duplication. Can someone help me? #NeverForget #ForThePhilippines
