I forgot how to code. Former Twitter. Current alpinism instructor for Bellingham WA Mountaineers.
Claude says thank you. 😅
I don't know how much of it to ascribe to myself but it sure was fun being so productive. I get the criticisms of LLM but its just so fun writing a compiler in a week. Here's Morrowind which I worked on last year.

I vibe coded a thing. Er, multiple things. Two compilers, a 20kloc research grade decompiler, a binary patching platform, and a game port...

The Anatomy of an Impossible Port: Bringing Dead Cells to the R36S

On the PortMaster suggestions page, Dead Cells sat for a long time with 178 votes and a feasibility rating of “Low.” It wasn’t a dismissal, but it was a feeling that everyone seemed to share. The community wanted it. They just didn’t believe it could ever happen. On

The Bryant Review
Its game changing.

I've always been better at reading code than writing it. I like doing small changes to huge codebases. My first OSS contribution was to The Gimp in 1997.

AI coding tools have made me so much better of a developer its not even funny. Theres no debate here, I'm so rediculously more effective.

One of my favourite stories of the year

@secretasianman @jj @bmdhacks What you do is cut the split with a razor blade such that its a gentle V. This will reduce the incentive to continue tearing. It can be unnerving carving more skin off of an already wounded area but trust me it'll heal faster.

@secretasianman @jj @bmdhacks Ok, its how to heal splits.

First thing is keep it moist. Neosporin and Nexcare bandages are ideal.

Second, learn how to use a razor blade. Skin doesn't know where its torn so a split will grow lots of skin all over and the un-split part will get super thick. Your split will keep tearing like this and grow into a grand canyon split... (continued)
