I don't want people or corporations or ai or anything to be able to pay to make me read what they have to say. I want to read the posts of people I personally think are interesting and I want to find them on my own. Why is this concept so foreign now

the number of years between the point that an already-released video game is actually "done" and finally in a playable state, and when it stops being possible to play it anymore because they shut down some server or the platform or operating system no longer supports it or whatever? i swear it's now less than a decade. maybe even like 5 years or less

so does masto show people when you add them to a list? because i have created a subset of people i follow who i feel comfortable reading posts by even when i feel overwhelmed by reading my whole normal feed, and i have titled it "cool people".

so if you got a notification that i have added you to a list of cool people, hey, sorry to bother you, and if you did NOT, i bet you are still a cool person!!!
