Leading the hard way 👊
Lessons learned
In the end, the story of the Nazis and the Reichswehr is simple: the generals started out sneering at Hitler, then let him shoot their rivals, swore undying loyalty to him, and finally grew fat on stolen loot while living in terror of his next purge. They thought they were using him, turns out, he was using them, until the Wehrmacht wasn’t “Germany’s army” anymore, but just another trophy in Hitler’s wardrobe of horrors.
So let's see what the surprise meeting turns out to be about.

Hundreds of US generals and admirals around the globe have been called to Virginia for a meeting with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Tuesday, several US officials told CNN, though the reason for the meeting is unclear.

Left work at 6pm to find just the cut lock and no bike, resigned to never seeing my trusty stead again asked the station if they have cameras. A guy appeared waving at me, asked me to put the code into my cut lock. He replied ‘I have your bike’ with a smile I will never forget!! His name is Abdul Muneeb and he works for South Eastern Railways, he was on a break and saw a guy bolt cut the lock and challenged him to give it back, he then took it inside and waited 4 hours after his shift finished to personally make sure I got my bike back. The world needs more Abdul’s, he is a legend of a man and a credit to his employer." Story Credit: Steve Farmer

@feorag sorry you're having trouble with that. I had to open the page in a different browser to see what you meant.
I guess that's indirect confirmation that my pop-up blocker works.
Anyway, here's a bit of the text to give you some idea of what's going on.
Explore newly commissioned artworks by Scottish artists, join behind-the-scenes tours, shop with local makers, sample Edinburgh’s new Cafe Calton, and enjoy creative play sessions for children. The day will culminate in a celebratory procession inspired by Gala traditions – led by artists Seamus Killick and Quinie.
Following the procession will be a live music performance by Scottish artist and performer Quinie, also known as Josie Vallely. Quinie’s multi-disciplinary practice blends folk traditions, walking, song, storytelling and visual art to explore Scots language, memory, land and belonging.
@icecolbeveridge Not everyone's cup of tea, but I must suggest Peter Hammill.
Hammill was once described as doing for the voice what Hendrix did for the guitar. There's personal storytelling and 'big' topics in his lyrics. He works in a huge range of styles from intimate solo work on piano to massive slabs of prog rock with the band Van Der Graaf Generator.
As you mentioned Send in the Clowns, you might like this.
