The difference in jokes between those who are only aware of Tom Cruise via tabloids 'reporting' and fans of his work are truly night and day. (Also this is part of my lore revisit; it's been hella interesting to look back at his media appearances and interviews and with the benefit of hindsight and my own treatment and go, huh. And remember the state of public health and education when you're dirt poor. You can see how the cult got him good, if dyslexia was a catch-all diagnosis because a kid couldn't sit still enough to learn the mechanics of reading.
