Was pretty embarrassed that I didn't know that this model house, built on emerging idea of universal design in the 1970s, still exists.

Have a small quote in this article. Hope to visit some time.

Marc Harrison’s Universal Design Home Gets Restored

Half a century ago, Marc Harrison built a prototype for a home that would accommodate people of all ages and abilities. Now his daughter has restored it.

Any recs for tools/methods of making scanned book chapters accessible? Acrobat's "accessibility wizard" does not leave me confident that stuff is actually readable.

I'm talking about more than ocr, to clarify.. image alt text, tags, reading order are somewhat doable on acrobat but I'm not confident in the results. I know a lot of my students like to listen to readings and I sometimes do too. Many use reading tools like bee reader also.
Just going to put it out there that I would pay someone to teach me to do this if you know what you're talking about. Lmk

why does your app have no dark mode and a color scheme that can't even really invert??

Re-pinning this and adding how grateful I am for people who remind me when I'm missing a zoom meeting or need to reply to an email (esp. students who might be intimidated). #ADHDTechnologies
