This matplotlib saga with the AI written hit piece against its maintainer is hilarious and infuriating.

tldr: an openclaw agent created a pr for matplotlib, got rejected, wrote a hit piece against the maintainer as a threat tactic (possibly pushed by the owner), then Ars Techinca wrote about it, but what they wrote itself was at least partially AI generated because it has fabricated quotes from the maintainer, all not real.

Tech journalism is dead.

One of the things that annoys me about currently available podcasting 2.0 apps is that most are not native, most use some form of react + web view (to varying degrees of success). This, amongst many other reasons, is why I’m building Corefeed, a feed reader app for RSS, Atom, JSON feeds that supports articles, podcasting 2.0 (audio + video) and YouTube channels.
