@SecondStix the weird thing is he has actually become the more "rationale" one now in the GOP. Either way, time for him to retire and enjoy the rest of his days in peace.
AI generated images of people are become so hyper realistic they could almost pass for the real thing if not for the almost too perfect curves and proportions.
But does this further create unrealistic standards for what women should look like?
Curious what women think about this.
(Note: I did not create this image)

@erinwhalen it almost seems like it's more for show to make it look like the govt cares, but in reality, they leave enough wiggle room for most offenders to get out of.
This recent World Cup kiss controversy really bugs me.
Specifically the part where Luis Rubiales insists the kiss was consensual and he did nothing wrong. The player, Jenni Hermoso, denies this claiming it was unwanted and unexpected.
Looking at the picture you can clearly see he has both hands grabbing her head and pulling her in for the kiss. He basically forced himself onto her. That's disgusting and he should be removed from his position and face discipline.

@cbajet whoa this original post is from a long time ago.
In terms of actually being bothered, maybe social inequality a bit more. Perhaps the part that bothers me is how people are constantly working against their own self interest and thereby perpetuating the issue.
I like cats, I really do. But does anyone else feel like Mastodon is just inundated with cat pics all the time? It’s like the unofficial mascot of Mastodon.
This might sound controversial, but I think there may have been a missed opportunity to raise the sales tax.
This would deter spending without affecting mortgage holders as much while at the same time adding some money to govt coffers.
Thoughts?

The Bank of Canada #boc raised interest rates to 5% to continue their fight against inflation. Many are sounding the alarm that this may be too harsh. But I think part of the problem is that the government really hasn't been helping and in fact in some ways have been making things worse with continued deficit spending.
