Today is Apollo for Reddit's last day, and I just released its last update. 🥹 I just wanted to say a big thank you to the folks who have used and supported Apollo over the years, it's been the dream of a lifetime to build this app over the last 9 years. ❤️ Read the eulogy inside! ❤️

@christianselig I‘m sorry for Apollo, but over the last werks I came to terms with Reddit and don’t miss it the slightest. Actually deleted both my accounts yesterday.
On the other hand, I now have 2 Pixel Pal Cats hanging out in my Dynamic Island, lovely idea. Improved my mood every time I looked at my phone during work today. Even got some customers interested xD

I was still hoping they come to some sort of understanding. However, today I heard they just removed the Head Mode of a Sub (an animal sub of some sort, quite large) replaced him with someone else from the mod team of that sub and moved them from private to public.
Seriously, unless they turn 180, I’m deleting everything when Apollo shuts down. Until then, I’m not gona spend a minute on that site either.
@AaronDoe @9to5Mac I think this is goojg to be a nightmare for everyone in tech support. People are already using devices they understand very litle about and have no intention learning them. Now you wanna give them the option to install stuff from anywhere… I still don’t see the benefit in this. Apple doesn’t have a monopoly, if you want an open system, buy an Android device.
