A wonderful day out in London yesterday: a matinée of Stephen Sondheim's "Old Friends" at the Gielgud Theatre, featuring Bernadette Peters and Lea Salonga in the flesh! I've loved Lea Salonga since I was about 12; it was incredibly moving to hear her voice in person.

And then an evening of hilarity with the Christmas live recording of the politics podcast Oh God What Now?, sorely needed comic relief!

Had a great time tonight at Bowie Experience in #southampton - special props to the female backing singer/percussionist who also pulled off a stunning Freddie Mercury for Under Pressure!
Award of the evening though goes to the music sign language interpreter who spent the whole evening dancing, signing brilliantly, and radiating sheer joy from the music including rocking out with her air guitar during the guitar solos - wonderful communication!
