I’ve been trying to find an #internal #documentation tool that @oaf can use for nearly half a year now. I have been looking at (and am really eager) to try slab.com - but I can’t seem to get a hold of anyone either via their LiveChat or via email.

Shouting out into the Fediverse - does anyone know how to connect with the folks at #slab, or if they are still operational? If not, can you suggest any alternatives?

Has anyone had any experience with #Odoo (https://www.odoo.com) in Australia at all? Trying to see if it’s worth consolidating a number of functions (timesheets, HRIS, CRM/donor management and knowledge management) into a single platform.

@KathyReid @oaf @kattekrab @everythingopen Happy for it to be used. Attribution to Ben Fairless, OpenAustralia Foundation. Is a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license ok?

@gusseting @oaf more info if you’re interested: https://github.com/openaustralia/theyvoteforyou/issues/1575

I’ve manually applied the fix, the regular nightly update should complete with no errors (hopefully).

@gusseting @oaf yep, I see the problem - I’m rebuilding the database again as it appears to have failed last night - ETA 3 hours 😭 (it’s been going for 3 hours at this point)
@gusseting @oaf looks like it’s working now ;)

Do you know anyone with fundraising experience who would be willing to donate their time?

If so, put them in touch with me!

@gusseting @kattekrab interesting perspective. I’m drafting an AI policy at the moment to govern how it’s used at @oaf - balancing the potential benefits with the obvious risks/downsides.

From a practical level, what’s the alternative? I was looking at GitLab as a possible option but so many of our services assume GitHub.

@gusseting @oaf @kattekrab They Vote for You focuses on the voting record so you can compare what a politician says with what what they posted.

Creating a policy is possible via the site, but appears to be restricted to OAF staff. I’ll get our resident TVFY champion to see if we can create a Gaza ceasefire policy.

@gusseting @oaf @kattekrab The requirement to have a formal vote (known as a “Division”) is set in the Standing Orders - all that needs to happen is for our elected representatives to change the Standing Orders.

As for what you can do - make your voice heard (and encourage others to make their voices heard). Highlight that you can’t support a politician when you don’t know their full voting record.
