Tonight was trying and learning a new dish: a veggie baked ziti (pasta al forno) -- good lord did it come out good. A blend of two recipes.

Louis Prima was a famous band director, born in New Orleans just like Burrs.
He bought a bunch of land on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain just north of I-12 in Covington that had a race track, a restaurant that his mother and later, wife ran, along with a golf course. It was called "Pretty Acres."
It was there while I was growing up, all through when I left in 1997, and was then developed into housing and commercial property.
Louis Prima drive is all that's left to remind the world what was once there. They kept two trees that Louis planted at the entrance to Louis Prima Drive.
If his name sounds familiar, Louis Prima was the voice of King Louie in Disney's The Jungle Book.
As much as Phil Harris, the voice of Baloo, liked to talk about being from the south, and speak with a southern drawl, Louis Prima was the real southerner of the group.
