This is truly great, but we also have to be honest - there’s a practical difference between installed capacity of fossil fuel power plants and renewables.
For solar and wind, we need 2-3x times as much capacity for a similar annual output (even if we ramp up battery capacity).
That’s okay, because they are vastly better for the planet, the environment, our health and also getting cheaper by the day.
But it’s important to keep in mind for comparison’s sake.
