Let's be clear: they will be very very *Trumpist* which is a specific brand of conservatism. What was the "conservatism" of a decade ago no longer exists in the US in any meaningful sense. (Yes, there was always an element of this in the movement, but not so much in the courts. But no longer).

Mass deportations cannot happen without significant reliance on local enforcement. Local law enforcement that is known to be rife with white supremacists, and which is not known for being particularly careful w the facts. Lots of Latino citizens are going to get swept up in the sweeps.
