Sawyer squeeze storage?

Sawyer squeeze storage?
I’m trying to find information on this. So far their website has no useful information besides sanitizing with a bleach water mixture. Several reddit threads have people arguing everything from buying a new one every year, to storing it dirty and never having a problem, to completely drying it out. I currently use a life straw bottle, I drink out of it while hiking, and just turn it over and squeeze the bottle into some larger bottles to use for cooking and stuff. It’s not ideal and I’m looking to change it up. Currently I store my life straw bottle in between trips by following their instructions, sanitize with bleach water, rinse, then fill with salt water mixture to prevent growth and keep it wet. Drying the filter ruins its ability to get wet again, and therefore it doesn’t filter well. What I’d like to do is store the Sawyer squeeze the same way, sanitize, rinse, store in salt water, maybe in a mason jar? But would that damage it? Does drying it ruin it too? Some people complained it’s hard to actually get it dry. How in the world is it that there is nothing in the manual or the FAQs about storage?
[Help] Swapped nvme from old deck into new deck, now headphones don't work
Hi there. I swapped the drive because my old steam deck is the “good” one, the first one we bought. My wife has been using it so much lately, we decided to get a second one. She doesn’t need a 2TB drive, so I swapped it with the 512GB one that came with the “new” deck. Why not just give her the new deck? It’s screen is cracked, and it has other issues I’m going to fix. I want her to have the nice one. The issue is software related, the headphones work fine with the old nvme. Likewise, I slapped a 256GB 2280 drive in there, did a fresh steam install, and it works fine. Things I’ve tried: Restarting with headphones plugged in. Rapidly changing between outputs in the settings. Going into desktop mode and manually fiddling with the headphones in the audio settings. So far nothing works. I don’t want to factory reset my Deck, but I will if I have to. My next step is to do a system repair using the install media, to see if it finds and fixes anything. But it gives a warning about potential data loss if it fails. So first, I am running rescuzilla and backing up the entire drive. I don’t have a spare nvme big enough to test that backup, so it’s not really a backup, but, that’s where I’m at. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Thanks
First time trying an alcohol stove in the wild
I forgot my wind shield, so it took way longer and way more fuel than necessary. But we got there in the end. It was just a day hike, after all. For those curious, this is a “cat can” stove, or “super cat”. [https://archive.org/details/super-cat/Super-Cat-3-4-11] I can’t speak to its effectiveness, as I used it wrong. But a lot of people really like it. And it weighs basically nothing!

FW13 with OG Wi-Fi 6 card, issues with starlink router
This is more of a PSA than anything else. I was warned that the stock Wi-Fi card in the FW13 was problematic with certain routers. Thus far I hadn’t had any issues with it, it’s worked with every router I’ve used it on, no issues. I recently set up starlink for a family member, and while testing it I kept having issues with my framework. I thought the starlink was crapping out, but my phone was fine on the same Wi-Fi. Then I realized that every time it quit working, I could get it to work again by power cycling the Wi-Fi in the framework. It would instantly work again. It was failing every few minutes it felt like, though I didn’t get empirical with it. For reference, I’ve got the 7840u, running Bluefin. And the starlink is a V3. I think I’m still gonna stick with the stock card rather than upgrading right now. I have no need for Wi-Fi 7 right now, and it works everywhere else I need it to work.
Simple syrup. 1:1? 1.5:1? 2:1?
I know this is a bit controversial, I’ve done a tiny bit of research on it. But honestly, until last night, I didn’t realize people used anything but 1:1. From what I’ve read, most older recipes are 2:1? And most modern recipes are 1:1? What do you use?
