@rpilocator I'm a little confused though. Why are there still 1800+ Pi 4 8GB Units still available at DigiKey? I can remember not too long ago when Adafruit was selling out of 4gb versions in under a minute, several days in a row. (I don't know how long that lasted, I quit looking after I scored one in the first 30 seconds.) Have things just changed that much since I got mine and quit looking?
@rpilocator Does this mean the shortage is about over? Or is this just an anomaly?
@rpilocator I was able to get one yesterday by pre-authenticating with Authy to save time at checkout. Which means I can't get another one from Adafruit anytime soon. Bummer, just when I got it all figured out.
@dirkhh Next time, try launching Authy just before you start the order process. Apparently, the Authy server will tell Adafruit that you have already validated, and they don't even ask you to do the 2FA part. (At least, that's what happened to me. YMMV) That should shave a few seconds off your order process time, and may let you slide in before they're all gone.
@rpilocator i had one in my cart and missed out one day, so I left it in my cart. The next day I tried just submitting the order, and it said something like "your cart has been open a while, please verify your order". I never did figure out how to 'verify' my order, so I lost out again that day.
@rpilocator Cool! I don't really know how that app works. But I guess I can ignore the alerts from Adafruit now, huh?
@linkeddev I was in I.T. for 37 years, and I don't recall ever seeing that code
@rpilocator I did have Authy running, to have it ready. Could it have taken the code without asking me for it?
@rpilocator Got one! Finally! I think. I got an order confirmation email, but it never asked me for my 2FA!?!
@rpilocator - I just installed telegram, but I'm not familiar with it. Can you put country and/or device restrictions on the alerts with that tool?
