I write about snarky characters being snarky while supernatural things try to eat them.

All of my books, essays, and manifestos are at bc-johnson.com.

@thetrepanier Yeah, that way sounds awesome, wish I could do it.

@ontploffing Ugh, what a pain. It's so funny how every book requires a totally different tactic.

I don't think I've ever written two books the same way before.

Is anyone else ONLY able to write chronologically?

I love the idea of writing the scene I'm most excited about instead, it sounds like a very motivational technique.

But for some reason I can't do it. It's like I'm telling the story to myself, so I can't skip ahead.

@bluzeo No problem! Happy to help.
@fausto @ladydorian Nice! I love all three of those ideas. As a YA writer, history lover, and noir fan. Right up my alley.

@bluzeo I've never used Fade In, but I have used Final Draft and Celtx.

If you're writing comics, I'd write at least one 22 or 24 pages script, the equivalent of one issue. If you can manage a 3-issue arc, that's better but not always necessary. Also make sure you have a treatment or something outlining where the story can go from there.

I have a friend who ultimately found an artist and they did a three-issue arc on their own as kind of their portfolio/calling card.

@CraigMaciolek So would you say you just enjoy the outlines, or are you more of a wordbuilder?

Howdy! I'm a wee little indie author and copywriter and whatever-for-money-or-even-not-money-no-big-deal writer.

Wanted to try a smaller community and check out this whole experience.

Excited to meet everyone!
