In 2009, on my first day at work @UWMadScience after years as a newspaper reporter, I was on a campus tour/visit to the employee ID office when a professor flagged us down and proceeded to explain to my new boss — in the middle of the street — that he had collaborated with a cellist to compose music for monkeys. And they were publishing it. And maybe that would be a fun story.
This is the best job I will ever have, I thought.
