@jubes for me, the tipping point is that thousands of people lost their jobs. It's heartbreaking and honestly a little gut-wretching. However, I will also say that I don't think Twitter has ever been more interesting or received more media attention in all the years it has existed. Not sure that means anything positive at this point, but I'm glad alternatives exist.
@georgetakei same. I think though that Mastodon doesn't have a similar global experience. The nature of the platform is that the experience may be different from person to person. At least that's my take on it. So, some people aren't having the easiest or most intuitive experience. It's not for everyone.
