@malwaretech yeah the U.S. is weird. 🤷‍♂️ Some folks always looking for a connection to some distant root for a sense of place.
@malwaretech it's about heritage and it tends to be regional as well... Boston has a lot of Irish heritage, e.g. and someone in the Midwest whose grandfather was born in Boston of Irish immigrant roots will still claim that heritage (perhaps because the rest of their heritage is rather muddy).
