I love this prompt. I hats your answer?
It’s the #MTG Commander long-game with Sorin. I think I can take this one.
I found this gem at Powell’s Books while at Kalamazoo this past week & I couldn’t resist adding it to my teaching collection of medieval & early modern artifacts: a vellum-bound edition of Boccaccio’s Decameron, printed in Florence in 1701. I’m so excited to own it!

Forgot that I owned this vinyl record album that I picked up somewhere several years ago for a quarter with no sleeve & it’s just labeled “Sounds” by James P. Johnson (a major ragtime king) & I put it on this evening & damn it’s so good.
Bought a cast-iron pan with this description that it was “vintage” & had seasoning… but it seems pretty new. So begins my long process to making it suitable to use as intended. Any suggestions about how to speed up the process to get this thing properly well-seasoned?
Happy Friday: have a paleography meme!
#MedievalStudies

This is a nice article about D&D & storytelling in RPGs in general. This part resonated with me & made me laugh—even if my persecution (ha) was mainly in the 90s & was for a lot more neediness than just interests in Star Wars & RPGs.

Sometimes when students complain about petty issues in my presence (minor things like how theory makes them think hard, not big things like inability to pay rent) I talk about playing the world’s tiniest violin for them. So thanks to students to who dropped this off at my office.

My book Apocrypha for Beginners has now sold over 3,500 copies!

The latest reviewer, "Goody Two Shoes," wants you to know that it's "So far so good." So why not check it out this weekend?
