@thor I would say these days, (2016-2020) people are more familiar with GitLab / GitHub / Gitea, and the need for continuous integration leads many to deploy heavy instance of git-themed tools. But there were some classic and legacy software still be usable haha. 😆 Just have fun to explore.

@thor

Hey Thor, how are you doing?

I have some minor updates to our Git & VCS conversation. Some 7 years, 3 months ago stackexchange conversation guided me here: http://sethrobertson.github.io/GitBestPractices/

And under the useful tools, it recommend gerrit, as a web based code review system.

I like how time travel makes things complicated in movies and tv shows, so many more possibilities
@thor 🚀 that's button of launching LOL! Hahaha fun with `docker-compose up -d` !
@thor Woooow that's quick! We should celebrate! 🍾㊗🎉\^o^/
@thor Hahaha okay! Take your time doing the reconfiguration! I'm not using it, but I will jump back once your reconfiguration done! Looking forward to your good news on the hacking~!

@thor Hey Thor! How are you today? I was checking your gitea instance, but I couldn't visit the web via http / https. Is it still up?

Btw, I was thinking about your recent idea of a decentralized git protocol, and also decentralized the web service to add more features, like stars, bookmarks, issue comments and pull requests. But I'm still drafting about this idea. Are you still interested into it? Let me know!

@thor aha! never mind. I'm also reading the post about some server check-up-s you mentioned in your earlier post

@stux Hmm, mstdn.social was definitely faster when I joined than it is now. It's sluggish very often now. Are you noticing that too?

mstdn.social

@thor 🤔hmmm, maybe adding some proxy rules (like, .pac file) to route the web traffic and accelerate would be a good idea.

LOL hahah, I don't know. The area I live now have very bad "international internet" connection speed. So I relies on the proxy rules so much!

And I just check my IP location, it's somewhere on the west cost of US. I'm not sure if it's physically close to where mstdn.social's sever located at.

Or maybe I'm not posting that much, so I don't enter the 504's scenario.
