I’m trying @[email protected], and this app also looks great and works well.

I love that there’s a separate page for direct messages. I know they don’t function as truly “private” messages, but it helps to sort them in another space. I also appreciate the built-in quote-post feature!

Moreover, I love that open source projects allow developers from all over to create their own tools and give us users real choice!

@macrumors This is the kind of thing that makes me nervous to really get into the HomePod ecosystem. I love my HomePods but don’t want to spend money if Apple isn’t committed.
This new alternative icon in @ivory is brutal.

Cannot reiterate this enough:

PLEASE don’t request refunds from Apple for any unused time on your Twitterrific or Tweetbot subscriptions.

It could literally bankrupt small shops like these.

Twitterrific: End of an Era • The Breakroom

Twitterrific has been discontinued. A sentence that none of us wanted to write, but have long felt would need to be written someday. We didn’t expect to be writing it so soon, though, and certainly not without having had time to notify you that it was coming. We are sorry to say that the app’s […]

App Store Rejection of the Week: Ice Cubes, a Splendid New Mastodon Client

We’re now on the cusp of a new frontier with Mastodon, and it’s Apple’s utterly clueless bureaucratic App Store reviewers who are doing their best to lock the new playground’s gates before they even open.

Daring Fireball
@gruber I just downloaded this and it is amazing!!!!! Clean, fast, responsive. Highly recommend so far (5 minutes of us)

@siracusa & @atpfm after thinking through the #541 after show here are my thoughts.

I think you should remove Twitter & add in the current place you are most active (or a place people can always find you). My thinking is “John shouldn’t do any research” is an inside joke to the show itself, which works historically.

The Twitter reference, is to help people find you and stay connected, as such that should be kept up to date (audience engagement)

Thoughts?

Just finished listening to @atpfm episode 512 and it occurred to me …… I’ll believe the move to Mastodon is official when the ATP ending theme is updated to removed Twitter. 🤣
@siracusa so we have at least the early 2000s functionality.

@siracusa I’m sure you’ve already heard this, but just in case, that list of purchases you are looking for is available on Apple.com. Shows you every purchase and has the refund button once the purchase posts.
