One of the things that's gotten more and more wonderful the longer Cloud Island has been running is the federated timeline.
There's so much interesting, random, beautiful conversation just *happening*.
It feels just like the "public" timeline from early Twitter, and I adore it.

leighI'm plugging Cloud Island because I love the idea of a federation of systems each sustainably funded and run locally by trusted and competent admins; Cloud Island is run by @aurynn, whom I know and trust, and is hosted entirely in NZ a few dozen fibre-milliseconds from me.
Okay so the whole *gestures* world stuff has kind of seriously impacted my business and income.
