[Apologies for the missing alt text on the first few pics! The first picture is a dark brown Necron from the front (its gun is not painted), the second is the same Necron from the rear (missing its spine), and the third is a grey sprue with four robotic spines attached.]
That is one very happy accident!

Thankfully, I still had the sprues and all four of the missing spines.
I decided I didn't want to dick around with the airbrush to get 4 tiny parts to match.
As I'm priming and basing them, I keep thinking to myself that it looks like they're missing something on their backs.

I'm building a Necron (Crustcron) army now, I guess? I'm starting off with a Kill Team, part of which is 4 Deathmark (which are so far my favorite).
And, of course, the "decay" color looks absolutely S T U N N I N G
More paint tests working with the Createx airbrush paints. Citadel nuln oil reactivated the paint, so the shading didn't work correctly.
