Dutch. Vegan. Francophile. Atheist. Pan/Gray-A. Agile IT BA. Can't live without Todoist and my journal. I enjoy going to (art, history, science) museums, listening to music and podcasts, reading literature, watching SGA, Continuum, ER. Trying to improve my French and learn about history, because I regret never paying attention in school. I have achalasia. I (sort of) speak NL, EN, DE and FR.
It's so cute and fluffy I kinda wanna keep it

Last monday I sent a message to my team that I had the flu and couldn't work. One of them responded that she was disappointed, because she had dreamed that I would bring a guinea pig to the office for her to pet.

Normally we work at the office on wednesdays, but because I just had the flu, I'm wfh. She complained again that I didn't bring her a guinea pig. Then at the end of a meeting, when we listed next actions, she suggested I bring a guinea pig next week.

So I just ordered this plushie.

I have too many books and I really need to stop buying more. But I've made an exception for this illustrated hardcover version of The Hunger Games.

(I don't know why, but the image preview in my posts is invisible, making it impossible to add alt text.)

This is perfect, I love having no weekend.

Sorry, it doesn't allow me to alt text. It's a thermometer, 38C.

Kleur Thijm.

Finally started on the last wall I still had to paint. I've been postponing this for months, but I wanted it finished before my birthday.

I haven't been here in ages, but I see nothing has changed and it's still boring AF here, certainly compared to my life. Last week I visited Weesp with a friend, got a new tin whistle and a low D whistle, chased a mouse from my home and went to a Gossip concert. And work is very busy, they changed all the priorities for a large project so that's been fun.

Now I'll probably forget about this place again for a few months.

The Dutch municipality of Tilburg wanted to combat fraud with benefits, so they did home visits to make sure people live where they say they live. So far, that doesn't sound too bad, right?

But wait for it: they did this with HOMELESS people who had to fill in a form to inform the municipality of where they would be sleeping during the next four weeks so that someone could make sure they were actually sleeping under the bridge. Surprise: 40% was refused benefits...
