@aka_pugs I am working on a an SS10 which I’m intending on running SunOS 4.1.4 on. Do you know where I can find ODS 1.0 (Online Disk Suite?) so I can mirror root disks? I think that’s what it was called anyway. Been looking all over the internets and come up short. Can’t hurt to ask…

I’m messing around with a SS20 and SunOS 4.1.4. But I’m recalling there was a DiskSuite for it. ODM is something that rings a bell, but I might be mistaken. Does anyone have a copy of the tape or CD?

illumos is awesome. Many Sun technologies live on because of it and are still improved upon by those who vested much time and love to make Solaris as awesome as it was. Imagine say, FreeBSD implemented SMF, BART, Fire Engine, Zones, Crossbow and a better ZFS boot (one which doesn’t require swap to live on a separate partition), I’d say it’d be awesome. Because of illumos, it is possible.
