I got crap for saying this wouldn’t go through because influencers were hyping the acquisition along with saying folks should know how business acquisitions work, especially internationally…well my prediction came true https://www.theverge.com/2023/12/18/24005996/adobe-figma-acquisition-abandoned-termination-fee
Adobe abandons $20 billion acquisition of Figma

Adobe will no longer acquire Figma after pressure from European regulators made the deal appear unlikely. Figma will receive a $1 billion breakup fee.

I feel a lot of people will say they’re inclusive in their community but will not put the hard work on the ground to interact, engage, or prop others up. I don’t know if it’s because of the lack of trust or just because they’re not a house hold name…but it’s really whacky when we keep seeing the same people over and over again when they’re so many other talented people out there who should have a voice as well

“You’re the one that got me into graphic design”
“I got you into design? I am so sorry”

Thank you Stefan Sagmeister for being an inspiration when I was just a college kid looking for a potential career. Who knew all these years later I’d be speaking with you on the same conference and stage.

Man it’s really awkward when people tell you to celebrate your achievements then the people you know unfriend or block you because how life’s going. It’s a hard balancing act where I actually try not to post much about my accomplishments but part of my friends are right…need to really embrace what I’ve done and given it is hard out right now, I’ll just need to focus on me but help out others who are supporting me genuinely

at this point, I don't even care if I have followers...its the fact that communities don't want to move or engage in growth with other communities that has always been an issue, IRL or online, especially post-COVID.
